Contributed Presentation Abstract Submission (Talks & Posters)
The focus of the SMB 2021 conference will be on two important topics in the sciences today: Translational Research and the Promotion of Diversity, Equality and Inclusion.
Submissions for contributed presentations that are relevant to the theme of the conference are highly encouraged. You may submit a presentation either in the form of a talk or a poster presentation.
Contributed Talk Presentation:
Talk presentations will be 10 minutes long followed by 5 minutes of discussion and questions.
A submission must include:
- A title of the presentation
- The name of the presenter
- The name of any co-authors, if applicable
- The most relevant SMB subgroup, if applicable
- An abstract (200 words or less)
- Whether or not the presentation is accessible for undergraduate students
*We only allow for an individual to give at most one talk presentation during the conference, either as part of a mini-symposium or as a contributed talk.
Contributed Poster Presentation
Poster sessions will each be 1 hour long. Posters sessions will be conducted electronically using the Sococo platform.
The guidelines for formatting a poster are as follows:
- Dimensions: Not to exceed 3' x 4’ or 91cm x 122cm.
- File Format: PDF File Size: Not to exceed 25MB
- File Name: lastname_firstname_XXXX.com where XXXX is to be replaced by the SMB subgroup identifier the poster belongs to XXXX = { CDEV, EDUC, IMMU, MEPI, NEUR, ONCO, MFBM, POPD, OTHE }. All subgroups (and corresponding codes) are listed on the subgroup page.
