June 25th - Symposium
Over two days, 47 participants across 8 teams will work together in hackathon style—bringing experimentalists and computational scientists together to co-develop AI-leveraged pipelines for analyzing 3D biological images - and building off of the workshops from this afternoon. The teams with UCR students will be especially focused on extracting concentration and colocalization data from 3D tissues, producing quantitative outputs, and presenting results that will be evaluated by both AI and human reviewers. This is an incredible opportunity to collaborate across institutions (from EMBRIO Institute across 7-plus institutes and centers, and the RECODE Project at Notre Dame), share expertise, and tackle real biological challenges with cutting-edge computational approaches. The Symposium and Workshops will be complemented by extensive discussions on further development of collaborations between Notre Dame and Centers including ICDMB.
