Bhargav Rallabandi’s research focuses on the intersection between complex fluids and soft materials. His research combines mathematical modeling, computation and experiments to understand phenomena governed by transport processes. His current research includes understanding the beating of flagella in relation to their internal structure, mechanical properties, and molecular motor kinetics. He is also working on the interactions of swimming microorganisms with soft substrates, and on the control of active particles using oscillatory forces.
